Selling the House

UGH! I have been going crazy trying to clean the house and get things ready to show and sell. It is very frustrating. I'm stressing a lot about making it look nice enough and I thought today before our first showing things were looking pretty good. There are a few problem areas like the garage, spare room and a closet or two but in all it looks really good considering we listed the house this wednesday/thursday and we had our first potential buyer come today. I felt like we made it look really great. We stayed up until three (more like all night if you include Oliver's night time teething issues) finishing projects and worked this morning to organize and arrange things just right. So I got home after the appointment (I really have no clue if anybody actually walked through our house) and I find pee and poop in the toilet on the main floor from my little girl and I forgot and left the tv on in the basement. The volume was really loud! I'm thinking for the next showing I will get a babysitter so that I don't have to wrestle the little ones. Oliver was asking for a nap (I know he seems young to be asking but since he stayed up all night) And Annabelle went around undoing a few of the things I had done. I'm glad to have the first showing over. I feel a little less stressed. Still a lot to do though. I may never want to move again!

Seeing a bit of Light

When we were in the hospital in September the doctor said that we would see Henry improve once he started the chemo.  It seems counter intuitive because chemo meds are basically poison.  The first week after chemo he stopped having fevers as much and we were able to manage his pain until he didn't need much for pain medicine. The second week he has lost more weight and been in pain again and of course he had some serious hunger and anger from the steroid.  This week I feel like we are seeing our little boy again.  Mostly his personality. On Sunday he was happy and cheery. He got a tiny pumpkin from my mom and wanted to carve it and then went on a 4 day stretch of "have to carve pumpkins" fever. Henry has been pretty ornery in the middle of the night and today. He is sick of blood pressures, blood work, the pulse ox finger thing and any nurse or doctor or tech that comes in that isn't mommy or daddy.  I just want to express how greatful I am right now for the kind man who came in to do an x ray.  There has been a concern that Henry is constipated. With his meds slowing things down and the possibility of infection from a hard bowel movement causing micro tears in his bowel they have been telling g us he needs stool softener and we keep telling them that he really doesn't have much to poop. He hasn't eaten much since before we came and less after. The nurse told us the doctor ordered an x ray to see how much is in there, at least that is what I assumed because they didn't mention the order.  This man who did the x ray was so kind and gentle. Second Transfusion

Setting up a transfusion across state lines and with various doctors can seem complicated and overwhelming.  Thankfully at Primary Children's Hospital they set you up with a case manager/care coordinator.  She took care of everything and then called to tell me I should be hearing from some one at EIRMC soon.  I gave it a couple hours and called them. They said they needed orders from a doctor and still hadn't received them. I called our awesome case manager and she said because they don't have rites to have a doctor in Utah send over an order to a hospital in Idaho they needed to talk to our primary caregiver/family doctor and have them send the orders over. So I called our family doctor except it's Friday and the main doctor we see is out of the main office at a different facility this Friday.
